AMCP Conference
San Diego, CA |
| |
Heather Lee Ingram Whipple, Director of Health Strategies Group's Managed Medicare Rx and Medicaid Rx Payers Services, will participate in a roundtable presentation at the 22nd Annual AMCP Conference.
Presenter "Developing Part D Programs for the Boomer Generation"
Currently 45 million seniors are eligible for Medicare. Another twenty million baby boomers will age into Medicare by 2015. This new generation will impact the program like no other generation before them and will require a different engagement strategy than that which is used with the current Medicare population.
This presentation will report on a 1,250 person survey of seniors and pre-seniors on their perceptions and behaviors regarding Medicare and health care. It will compare and contrast pre-seniors with current Medicare beneficiaries in anticipation of their entering the Medicare program over the next few years.
The learning objective of this presentation is to provide plan pharmacy directors, pharmaceutical companies, and marketing personnel from both plans and pharma with insights into how future Medicare beneficiaries differ from current Medicare beneficiaries in order to help them prepare for the massive shift of younger seniors aging into Medicare over the next five years.
