Position Overview
The Sales Coordinator supports the Sales and Client Management function with the execution of the account planning process, annual renewal process, and pull-through activities. The responsibilities will include running and reviewing CRM database content and reports, and maintaining best practices for efficiency.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1) Oversee account planning, renewals, and mid-year client review tools and processes—30% of time
- Oversee the client planning, renewal and contract processes. Set timelines, distribute necessary materials and track progress
- Oversee the development and quality control of standardized materials for each account manager to use in annual client reviews using data extracted from multiple internal sources (web utilization, salesforce.com and Vertical Response)
- Support Client Managers to in completing the contracting and on-boarding process for new and renewing clients. Maintain file of client agreements. Conduct annual audit of client agreements/identify gaps in signed agreements and follow up with Client Managers to close gaps
- Support Client Managers in developing proposals using marketing-approved templates and pricing guidelines
- Monitor and reinforce organizational compliance with account management processes and use of account management tools, assess account management processes and refine and/or develop new processes as needed to ensure client satisfaction
- Serve as an ongoing resource for associates regarding account management processes and tools
- Work as an active project team member to identify problems and barriers to successful account management and recommend solutions including new tools and standard procedures for account management
2) Assist with mega account pull-through activities—40% of time
- Regularly review and assess whether services are visible/being used and identify trouble spots via web utilization, salesforce.com and Vertical Response
- Maintain templates and tools for use by client managers in client on-boarding and pull-through; gather best practices
- Support client managers and Research Directors with reminders to clients that xyz research was just published and released to facilitate use
- Manage/track implementation of pull through plans as needed to ensure service use and/or if services are not being used
- Assist client managers in securing HSG Resources for presentations
3) Serve as CRM power user—20% of time
- Act as liaison between users of the firm’s CRM tool (salesforce.com) and Operations identify and work to resolve user questions or problems
- Work with Operations to ensure that page layouts, reports and dashboards meet user needs
- Develop reports and views and disseminate information from salesforce.com as required to support the needs of senior management
- Oversee annual update process of salesforce.com including new products, opportunities, and objects
4) Secondary research in support of account planning—10% of time
- Assist Client Managers in keeping up to date on their client’s business (e.g., NDA filings, organizational shifts and changes, and product news). Multiple sources include: daily newspapers (Wall Street Journal), industry publications, RSS feeds, google.com alerts
- Research prospective clients – gather information such as: have they recently filed a NDA? What are their top products?

Position Overview
The Research Analyst will support research activities for our syndicated and single client consulting research projects including project management, analysis, and presentation development.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Manage quantitative & qualitative pharmaceutical research projects—25-35% of time
- Establish and manage project timelines
- Assist with development of data analysis plan
- Assist in creation of surveys and discussion guides
- Test web surveys
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews (45-60 minutes per interview) and create contact reports with resulting detail from interviews
- Assist project leaders in keeping projects within budget and estimated timeline by anticipating and resolving issues with fielding of surveys via communications with the Research Operations group and sometimes clients
2) Data management & analysis—35-45% of time
- Code qualitative survey responses
- Clean/prepare data in SPSS and/or Excel (e.g., merge, append, check frequencies, and dedupe)
- Manage data in SPSS, Excel, and Access
- Analyze data in SPSS (utilizing frequencies, crosstabs, sorts, t-tests, regressions, etc.)
- Analyze data in Excel (creating pivot tables and graphs)
- Identify key findings (relevant data results)
- Create relevant data results in Excel graphs and charts
3) Assist with pharmaceutical research project results analysis & presentation development—10-15% of time
- Identify key research findings for final deliverable
- Assist in creation of small sections of final reports and PowerPoint presentations
- Respond to client phone calls and inquiries regarding any aspect of research projects
- Contribute at client meetings and presentations
4) Conduct secondary research—0-5% of time
- Search Internet for articles, studies, journals, etc. to provide information to assist in the development of single or multi-client deliverables
- Search existing Health Strategies Group documents/deliverables for relevant information
- Assemble relevant information into an appropriate format for the project and/or consultant (compile data into spreadsheets, excel, SPSS, and/or PowerPoint)
- Conduct secondary research to become knowledgeable about relevant category, product, and company prior to project kick-off

Position Overview
The Consultant develops and leads single-client and/or multi-client projects which provide analysis and actionable business insights that meet clients objectives. Consultants are responsible for the entire process for large multi-client and single-client projects including; meeting with clients to determine project objectives, writing proposals, managing research projects, presenting conclusions and recommendations to clients. This position has sales and client management responsibilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1) Business development and client management—25-35% of time
- Develop business/win projects that are consistent with HSG’s strategic goals
- Meet a specified annual project revenue goal
- Build and develop positive relationships for HSG within assigned client companies
- Determine project/business objectives used to create proposals based on verbally communicated client needs and/or RFPs

- Interview clients to determine decision support needs and project objectives

- Work with client to solidify research objectives
- Work with other practice areas to jointly field research
